Interesting. I'm a teacher and I didn't hear of an invitation to collaborate. Who did they collaborate with? Pearson?
It's been a multi-year process with a massive number of science teachers from all levels (K up to college) involved in everything from overhauling, to commenting, to reviewing and so forth. There's a bit more on the frameworks page if you're interested. There's definitely been lots of teacher input.
