I like Bruce Baker's take. Reich's call for vouchers in the beginning put me off from his story. I like Reich's list of data, but the point he is trying to make (to my mind) is that the public schools are in a downward trend and money is drying up so you should flee the public school system. I've often wondered about Reich. He sometimes talks like a progressive, but for the most part uses conservative frames and appears to be following a longterm conservative agenda. Death by a thousand cuts.
