Superintendent Boone is beginning the section of her evaluation this evening. She begins with " a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." She then reviews her goals, the things imposed on us (Level 4 schools), the things we didn't expect (Belmont Hill), and challenges (the budget). "Self-reflection" is, she says, part of her leadership style..."looking in the mirror and looking out the window"...what are areas of success and what are areas of improvement?
Principals have done this, too.
