It ain't over yet
but our internal battery ran out of juice! Anyone know how much an external one will cost me? I'm going to have to invest it one if they keep running meetings over two hours.
I had an external battery once- it never worked well, and it cost around $150. In the end, I just got a spare internal battery for my laptop- I can fit 2 if you remove one of the drives. You can also keep it charged and do a quick shutdown and swap.
It may be worth your while to invest in a cheap "netbook" we're looking at one that claims 7.5 hours of runtime, so 3-4 hours with wifi on wouldn't be a stretch.
