As
this AP article on parents opting their kids out of standardized tests runs across the country today (
including on the front page of the print edition of today's T&G, 'though I can't find that online), I would call your attention, Worcester parents, to an addition to the 2013-14 Policies Handbook in the Standardized Testing section on page 18:
Students whose parents opt them out of state or district standardized assessments will not be academically penalized or face disciplinary action except as prohibited by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or of the United States.
