Recommended reading this cold short week

•  Today, I am reading and taking notes on the Center for Democracy and Technology's "Education leaders' guide to complying with existing student privacy and civil rights laws amidst an evolving immigration landscape" which there is a description of here. 
  
  
• Here's the NPR report on the Trump administration's change of special status for immigration enforcement at schools, hospitals, and places of worship. Note that the statements being issued by districts like Worcester are not out of line with that at all. 
  
  
• This opinion piece from Futurism "AI is like Tinkerbell; it only works if we believe in it" nails it in terms of promises that never pay out on AI.
