Obedience and negotiation
Really interesting article in the New York Times over the weekend on Catholic teachers negotiating a new contract. It's a whole different universe when the management with whom you're negotiating is one to which you profess a measure of obedience.
$20000.00, that is a damn shame. Educators should be compensated for their efforts, end of story. If parents are paying for catholic schooling, where is the money going, bc it doesn't seem to be making it to the teachers in NYC.
how do catholic teachers profess a measure of obedience ti the chancellor of the catholic school district? catholic teachers dont take vows of obedience! it was a vey misleading headline

I can't imagine how the teachers live on their salaries in NYC.
