Updating

I've got a giant backlog of things I've been meaning to post on. Here's two quick ones:

• fun map from the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities that's been posted over on Blue Mass Group comparing state spending levels across the nation to FY08. Massachusetts is below it.
• FairTest, NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and a growing list of other organizations have signed on to a position paper on No Child Left Behind and the school-to-prison pipeline.

UPDATE: Make that three:

• Debunking Bill Gates: "...his specific prescriptions, and the urgency he attaches to them, are based on the misrepresentation of one fact, the misinterpretation of another and the demagogic presentation of a third."
