Calling for an internal investigation at Goddard

Dianna Biancheria, Brian O'Connell, and I issued this press release this morning.
I think that tossing the grades of every single MCAS at Goddard means we've accepted that every teacher didn't follow the rules. I don't.

Contrary to looking for "heads to roll," I'm hoping that we stop tarring an entire school based on the actions of some, and then fix the problem at its source.

I agree 100% on an internal investigation to see if the discrepancies are sever enough to warrant throwing out the whole schools test scores. I'm wondering though, what the track record is for changing the Commissioner's mind regarding the test scores once our investigation is over?

Lousy, as is the track record on getting the Commissioner to change his mind on pretty much anything.
But we can, I hope, at least clear some of this up locally.
