testament to staff, leadership, parents: fine-tuning process in the middle of the process
"much of the plan was written when we expect the MCAS to remain the progress...is there anything that's going to change under the post-waiver requirements?"

Boone: requirements in waiver and Levels are still there
"rather than having 100% of kids proficient by 2014" schools required to narrow achievement gap
plus level 4 school has benchmarks
process for entering and exiting the Level 4 process

O'Connell: science as a weakness: is there anything here in the plan that addresses science?
"infused throughout literacy...and lab opportunities"
Boone: currently have them
O'Connell: focus on skills, mathematics, not different than what we require at our schools
"include...a member of the PTO or site council to participate in CPPAC"
as the plan looks at data, new state requirements will be

Monfredo: congratulate staff
"I know it's going to work"
hope we can consider a parent liaison
parent meetings at Great Brook Valley
strong partnership with Worcester Housing Authority

is full-day preschool being considered? Yes...funding...evaluating right
K-3: high risk...additional assistance? Yes...use of time
school day to receive additional supports and services
major focus on literacy...reading at home
strong summer program: working on
All stakeholder meetings were held at Great Brook Valley

"much more engagement than meetings held at the school"
professional development: culturally sensitive: community organizations?
school leaders in data analysis...all members of staff need this
asking for more control at the school level of Title I and Title II funding
Boone: "can make some material selections"
Biancheria: aren't we still wanting them  purchase through the district? Yes, through the district
similar to Chandler Elementary and Union Hill

Novick:focus on ELL, very appropriate
echo concern on science: if it isn't written down, it doesn't happen
costs of all this: expensive plan
need for adjustment counselor; wraparound coordinator
community connections: who is on board here?
"undeclared Level 4" schools...no such thing

Colorio: timeline
