Members of the public

very concerned about the process...Level 2, 3, 4....innovation schools
"they supress these MCAS tests...what are the results? Do the kids get to take the tests again? Do they restore their points?"
Answer: no retake, no impact on students graduating

Nat Needle (kid is a graduate)
"to create more of an atmosphere of harmony...desire of any[one] who wants to have all the information the Commissioner has"
waited an enormous amount of time for the results...it was almost like a surprise
"I do feel that given all the time that it took for the state to issue its report...so I think can we take the time necessary...to get all the information...following the best procedure in asking for the information as individuals..rather than taking over from the state" (cites Mullaney)
"can petition the state...and wish them good luck, in asking the state to give them the information sooner than they gave the schools"

parent who chose Main South to have her children go to Goddard and UPCS
"what's worse is the media...can keep it dragging on...one tear from our children is too expensive...we do have to think about our children...chosen to live there...have innovative ways of kids learning to read and write"
"couldn't help my own children...very terrible things were happening to my children [after September 11, to Muslims]" took them out and sent them to private schools
"give them another chance" she was told of WPS
"I wasn't disappointed..."
"I know they work very hard..so disappointed in the media...when I voted for you, everyone that is here I voted for you..disappointed that some aren't working together as a team"
"Please come together for our children, and don't waste anyone of their tears"
