H1N1 shots and the snowstorm

So I was pleased to see, over on the WPS website, that the possibility of school being cancelled or delayed by snow and how this would wrangle with the H1N1 clinics is being dealt with.

If school is on, the clinic is on.
If school is cancelled, the clinic gets moved to Thursday.

Here's the part that confused me, and so I called to figure it out: if school is delayed, what happens? It says the clinic goes on "as scheduled."

Well, it means just what it says. If your child is scheduled to go at 8 or 9, and school is delayed, the clinic still starts at 8 or 9.

THERE IS NO DELAY ON THE CLINIC.
I wish this were a bit clearer.

UPDATE: Then we got a phone call saying that the clinic is postponed to next Tuesday.

Elementary dates for H1N1

The WPS website has a list of tentative dates for H1N1 vaccinations in the elementary schools. As a parent needs to be present for a child to be vaccinated, this matters!

H1N1

and it's the swine flu item!

Suggestion here that we consider vaccinations (which I think Massachusetts as a state has ruled out, actually)
mention of a "flu pandemic"
wants it addressed on the meeting on the 17th

Boone says they've had "expanded conversations" this week. Nursing department is on it. Report on the 17th

Swine flu on the agenda

Item making sure the administration is up on the swine flu...
I heard someone suggest that school should just be held off for a month until we have enough vaccine on hand, as, if we go forward, we may well be in the thick of the worst of it just as we are getting enough vaccine (which takes two weeks to work).
