and met Friday...this schedule is unsustainable. Monday's agenda (online only) is here; Tuesday's in Holyoke is here.
The extra meetings are the vocational admissions study sessions, and, while I did not see Friday's, my understanding is that it got...heated. The stats that DESE staff brought forward last month were not only eye-opening; they made it clear that we have a segregated system that is perpetuated by the admissions process.
Here are the most noteworthy slides again:
On Tuesday, we'll of course hear more about Holyoke IN Holyoke, plus some words (nothing formal) on post-Question 2; a report on virtual school tuition (wild that "these numbers don't meet our needs" is so quickly heard there when it took 15 years to get a foundation budget change!); an FY26 budget report (which we can hope includes inflation); and another round of vision.
I cannot report out from Friday (I am among those who has other obligations at 1 PM in the afternoon) nor Monday (as I already have a meeting scheduled), but I plan to be in Holyoke on Tuesday morning.
