Update on PARCC parental opt out in Massachusetts

Wachusett is sending a letter to DESE and allowing parents to opt their children out of the PARCC pilot.
Mendon-Upton's superintendent responded to a direct School Committee question that yes, parents could opt their children out of the PARCC pilot.
Cambridge has stated that parents not wishing their children to pilot the PARCC may keep them home that day.
I have also heard that both Berlin-Boylston and Quabbin have items on upcoming School Committee agenda regarding parental opt out of PARCC pilot testing.
UPDATE: And the Medway parents are petitioning their School Committee to allow parental opt out on the PARCC pilot.
