That got their attention!

The growing controversy over inBloom's sharing of private student information with vendors, whiile putting it in the cloud where it is vulnerable to hacking has gotten enough attention where the attorney for the company felt it necessary to submit a column to Valerie Strauss at the Washington Post. Not only that: clearly the company sent around one of those "Hey, go say nice things!" emails, as several board members (former federal Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings among them) turned up to post cheering comments.
...none of which deals with the major substance of the concerns, as ably demonstrated by Leonie Haimson.
