Some perspective

I happened to catch Robin Young on WBUR speaking to Ed Wiley on the West Virginia coal mine disaster. In the process of updating what has happened, he spoke of their local elementary school that sits beneath a massive, leaking dam holding back coal sludge.The local community has tried for some time to get the school moved to a different location. They have had limited luck, and so they have been raising fund themselves through Pennies of Progress. There was to be a vote on which schools in West Virginia get their school building assistance this year later this month; it's now at the end of the month.
I wonder what difference having CNN broadcast live from the school will make.
