Questions: two pots of money: STG "you may apply"...the state has this money?

Yes, the state will (definitely) get that money (they don't have it, yet, though, it seems)

the assurances of the RTTT application: some kind of way we're going to meet headon with those entitlement grants (aka: we already agreed to it in RTTT, to a particular end)
now we've got Mulqueen: the same four models are in both of these, they are the exact same models...as we have already agreed
Mulqueen's interpretation is that we would not get Race to the Top funding if we reneged on those four choices, as they are in RTTT, as well.
Motion: requesting that the superintendent not make any steps on applying until we have more information on what we can use it and how to impacts su for RTTT and future federal funds
Tracy, has anyone even read the USED uidance regarding these School Improvement Grants, or STG as the State is calling them? It can be found at http://www2.ed.gov/programs/sif/guidance20100120.doc The SIG and RTTT grants are so interconnected it does not make sense to look at them as two separate grants. This document does address applying for SIG and not RTTT which is allowable, but I do not believe it addresses it the other way around.
