Agenda for School Committee is UP!

Find it here.
We have not one, not two, but THREE Superintendent's reports for this week, 'though two are reports back on requests for more information: the Commissioner's district money use, and the School Transformation Grants (federal funding tied to Level 4 schools; this is a partial report, so they'll be no vote tomorrow on it, and, as yet, I don't have an information on it).

On the Commissioner's district money--that's that $420,000 that came up two weeks ago, though apparently it's more like $490,000--you might find the bottom of page 3 (from the link above) a place to start. It spells out what the state and WPS agreed would be the four part focus of this grant. You can find the breakdown of where the money went starting here.

  2. It is. I wish we could get the agendas up a bit earlier, but it is good to have them where people can get at them, particularly the backups (as that's always were the good stuff is!).

  4. First, good luck in getting a meeting with Senator Kerry. For several years, we Dr. Mills, the Manager of Curriculum, and I would visit his office and Senator Kennedy's office and meet with their top education aides. Roberto Rodriguea, who was Senator Kennedy's educational aide, now works at the White House in the area of educational policy. He would be great to contact for any and all info related to reauthorization. Also, as an FYI, Focus on Results, has earned close to, if not more, than 1,000,000working with the WPS during the past three years.
